Tree work for hire in Maryland needs a Licensed Tree Expert licence from the Department of Natural Resources. Most people don't know to ask. We're checking listings against the state's list, and every listing says whether it's been checked yet.

Is it free?

Yes. Searching, reading reviews and contacting a business costs nothing, and you don't need an account. Businesses pay if they want the Verified extras.

How do you decide who's listed?

We started from open business data for Maryland, removed closed businesses and duplicates, and kept those with a working phone number. Owners can claim, correct or add a listing. We remove fake or illegal listings.

Does paying change the reviews?

No. A paid listing gets extras like photos and placement, but it can't remove or hide a review. Owners can reply to reviews in public.

What does "licence checked" mean?

We found the business on the state's own list for that licence and wrote down when. It tells you they're licensed, not how good the work is. The reviews help with that part.

Where does the business data come from?

From Overture Maps Foundation open data, then corrected by owners and by us. Every listing shows when its details were last checked, with a link to report a mistake.
